One NFL friend of Bill Parcells said because of Miami's brutal schedule, Parcells privately has cautioned against too high expectations. Miami's opponents had the NFL's highest winning percentage last season. "Have you seen their schedule?'' another friend, St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony La Russa, said after speaking with Parcells. "They can be better than last year and fighting hard for wins.''

I personally think the strength of schedule from the previous season is kind of a bullcrap stat...It seems like by the end of the next season teams have flip flopped so much in the standings, that the stat is meaningless

  3. It is BS. This time last year, the Fins supposedly had one of the toughest schedules, yet now 08 was "easy".

I dont think it's complete bullcrap, but it is overdone quite a bit. Just looking at it myself when it came out, I thought 8-9 wins....so who knows?

This is why stats are unsafe.
