Moments before the Detroit Lions took the practice field for their first training camp workout, general manager Martin Mayhew gave his assessment of the 80-man roster. The most interesting part was what he didn't want to talk about. "I'm happy with our running backs and I'm happy with the linebackers. There are some other areas where we have to get better," Mayhew said Saturday. I like our two quarterbacks. I think we have probably the two most physically talented quarterbacks since I've been here (2001). I feel good about those guys. "Mayhew didn't comment on the receivers, offensive and defensive lines or the secondary, and he said he would not go into detail about any of those positions. "There are some areas of concern," he said. "I don't want to call anybody out, the guys are out there working hard trying to make our team. We'll make adjustments that we feel are necessary."
