The Packers have no plans to clear Nick Barnett to practice for at least another week, but the veteran linebacker said today he still anticipates returning to the playing field by the end of the month. "I don't even think we have a target date, but I'm sure by the third preseason game, I should be seeing some action," said Barnett, who is recovering from ACL reconstruction surgery. "But I don't know. That's up to the doctors; that's up to them as far as that goes." That third preseason game is Aug. 28 at Arizona; the preseason finale is six nights later on Sept. 3 at Tennessee. At that point, Barnett will be nearly 10 months removed from tearing his ACL last Nov. 9 at Minnesota. Source: Green Bay Press Gazette
