The Lions placed offensive lineman Damion Cook on injured reserve Friday because of a torn triceps muscle, ending his season before it even started. Cook, who was fighting for a roster spot as a backup, is expected to undergo surgery with Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala., in the next week. The team replaced Cook on the roster with Bobby Sippio, a journeyman receiver who has played in the Arena Football League as well as brief NFL stints with Kansas City and Miami. Source: Detnews.com

the loss of Cook kinda hurts but it doesnt matter it just means Salaam is now a lock to make the team and Janson will be moved full time to G and peterman will take some backup snaps at Center we signed Sippio becuase we are a little banged up at WR with B johnson northcutt and standeford as well as im guessing they want to limit Megatrons use in the preseason to avoid injury
