The Lions placed offensive lineman Damion Cook on injured reserve Friday because of a torn triceps muscle, ending his season before it even started. Cook, who was fighting for a roster spot as a backup, is expected to undergo surgery with Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala., in the next week. The team replaced Cook on the roster with Bobby Sippio, a journeyman receiver who has played in the Arena Football League as well as brief NFL stints with Kansas City and Miami.

the loss of Cook kinda hurts but it doesnt matter it just means Salaam is now a lock to make the team and Janson will be moved full time to G and peterman will take some backup snaps at Center

we signed Sippio becuase we are a little banged up at WR with B johnson northcutt and standeford as well as im guessing they want to limit Megatrons use in the preseason to avoid injury
