Both receivers Mike Wallace and Limas Sweed looked good in practice Thursday. Sweed used his big body to shield defenders for several catches in team and 7-on-7 drills, and the lightning-quick Wallace looks more polished than I expected for a first-year player. Source: ESPN.com
Wallace torched the secondary a few times today. They are saying once he got to the corner's level, he just turned on another speed and took off...then put it to a third level when it seemed he was over thrown to come up with the catch... Sweed has been getting in and out of his routes quickly and with precision and he's saying that the game is slowing way down for him. Can't wait to see them in the first preseason game...
i hear that wallace is fast. i mean super fast. he ran the 2nd fastest time behind the heyward-bey. ike taylor said he is the fastest corner he has ever covered. amazing. i cant wait to see limas take over nates spot this year.
