Monday was a special day for special teams coach Joe DeCamillis, who went about his job at the Alamodome without wearing a cumbersome neck brace for the first time since breaking his neck in the collapse of the indoor practice facility in May. DeCamillis said his neck was stiff and it was difficult to keep his head up. His neck is much smaller and weaker than before. "Oh, yeah. You kidding me? You think that thing looked comfortable?" DeCamillis asked. "It was like wearing a damn turtleneck all the time, man. It was hot as heck. It’s stiff. But it’s better than it is with that thing on, that’s for sure. It’s just going to take some time, man, to get it right, that’s all." Source: Fort Worth Star-Telegram
