New defensive coordinator Sean McDermott needs to find out about his other defensive ends, a process that starts in earnest with tomorrow night's preseason opener at Lincoln Financial Field against the New England Patriots. Chris Clemons, a free-agent disappointment at last year's camp who started to come on late last season, is prominent in the mix of guys looking to distinguish themselves in the preseason. Right behind Clemons is 2008 third-round draftee Bryan Smith, who didn't get on the field as an undersized rookie, but has bulked up to 6-2, 250, and is said to be having a good camp.

Oh they mean just cause cole got hurt for now ok. The DE spot opposite trent is definitely up for grabs. I would still like to see abiamirri step in and start just cause hes up there in size compared to our other DEs.

The Eagles D prides itself on all members being able to step in and contribute. I have faith.

I was wondering what had happened to that guy a lot of people were talking about how great of a signing he was but I never heard from him after the season started.

Actually he had a decent 2nd half of the season. How can you forget chris clemons does tashard choice getting his face planted into the ground with someone running in for a touchdown ring a bell?
