The Dallas Cowboys backups were sloppy and sorely outplayed as the Oakland Raiders totaled 456 yards, including 176 on the ground. The effort raised concerns about depth on the offensive line, defensive line, at linebacker and in the secondary. Asked about coming through the game injury-free, a miffed coach Wade Phillips said, "It didn't look like this team put up much effort to be injured. If you don't win past the first quarter, you don't like it. I didn't like it." "Some guys are where they need to be," said Phillips. "Others are not."

There were breakdowns in all part of the game for the defense. The CB's and backup NT lead to most of the problems.

Im still think not going after a backup NT was a huge mistake

That is why I wanted them to sign Smith. We already cut one so we will be watching who else gets cut. I bet Spears and Igor plays more snaps at NT this week.

I think Smith is one of those Looks the part, but doesnt play the part 3-4 NT

Im upset Spears shed the extra weight he played with last year. Last year was by far his best season playing near 320, and at 320 he can be worked in at NT if needed

I bet that is why he dropped the weight.
