Raiders assistant coach Randy Hanson has hired an attorney and will turn X-rays showing that his jaw is broken over to Napa, Calif. police, according to a report by the National Football Post, as an investigation into an alleged incident between Hanson and Oakland head coach Tom Cable intensifies. Hanson's jaw was injured in an altercation at the Raiders' training camp compound on August 5. As FanHouse first reported, Cable assaulted Hanson during a coaches' meeting, sources said, after which Hanson had to be hospitalized.

I do not know how much choice he has in the matter. If he does not sue he would have a job for life because it would be hard for the Raiders to fire him.

Uncle Al may not need to pay it, my guess is Cable is going to have to go deep pockets on this one.

its overblown in that noone in the Bay Area cares. Really. We care more about Russell having a bad practice then one of assistant coaches getting punched.

russian, you talking for all of the Bay Area now?? As a fan you should care that your head coach attacks his staff, what's next punching Jamarcus when he misses a WR? The Raider fans that I know could care less that Russell has a bad practice, it's all about the regular season.

The Raider fans that I know could also could care less if Russell has a bad practice. That was my point. All the fans that I have talked to, just laugh it off, go on with their day. I just hate the national headlines about this.

Y'know, in case the Raiders fans had forgotten, punching a dude in the face and breaking his jaw is illegal, regardless of whether you handle it in-house or not.

Maybe Hanson is a cat. But from what I've heard Cable is a cat too. If you're going to punch someone it'd better not be a sucker punch. Be a freaking man.
