Bears WR Juaquin Iglesias Unlikely To Contribute In '09?

For the second year in a row, it appears a third-round rookie wide receiver could be a total non-factor for the Bears, with 2009 third-round pick Juaquin Iglesias so far following in the same footsteps, or lack thereof, as '08 third-rounder Earl Bennett, who at least looks a lot better this season. Iglesias did have a garbage-time TD catch in the Bears' preseason opener but remains buried on the depth chart.

He's been getting garbage time too. They have also had him returning punts and kicks.

I don't know if you guys know this, but we already have a guy in Chicago that's pretty good at returning punts, so I dont see him making a dent there.

I smell mainly special teams duty for Iglesias and Knox this year. I think they'll start to contribute in 2010.

For sure. Iglesias and Knox are getting "redshirt" years like Bennett did.
