This is the bad part of having a tough qb who refuses to throw the ball away. I think his body will be able to go at least 10+ years though, he's a tough kid and the protection can only get better from here (you would think anyway it can't get much worse.)
If there's a QB out there with the physical build and the mentality to take the hits, he's the one...
Big Ben is a true warrior.. I've always been impressed with his never say die attitude. Yes, he does pay for it and takes some really hard hits..
10 years is a nice long career as a QB. He's already got the 2 rings, I don't see him pulling a Favre.
With the beatings he takes I think it'll probably be more of a McNair than a Favre - he just eventually won't be able to hack it anymore, give it up gracefully and there will be no shame in that at all.
Within the next ten years we could have freaking cyborgs in the NFL with all the medical advances that are coming. He'll probably be the first.
honestly this team could win 1-3 more superbowls with ben and even though its a stretch and never easy to win a superbowl this team is built for the future (for the most part) and i think the line will become a serious sense of urgency in next years draft. the man takes a beating, but hes building a HOF resume doing it
After the motorcycle accident he had a few years back and all the shots he has taken over the years, Ben will probably start to wind down in the 9-10 year period. As someone said earlier, whats wrong with that? Great QB with great attitude.
