The Press Democrat writer Matt Maiocco is reporting via his Twitter page that 49ers head coach Mike Singletary has announced that Shaun Hill will be the 49ers starting quarterback for week one. All aboard the lolbus... To be honest, what choice did they have? Alex Smith who is an epic bust or Nate Davis, who has to whistle before going to the bathroom to make sure what end he craps out of.
Davis is years away from being a starter. I thought that Smith might be able to earn his spot back, now he is going to be like Carr and other 1st round QB that turn out to be backups at best.
there should of never been a competition for it. Hill has the intangibles to make them a winning team. Ive been calling it for awhile now.
hill is a singletary-type-of-guy and their offense is going to be run-oriented and conservative so they just need someone to manage. not a major decision.
