Rookie WR Michael Crabtree Willing To Compromise?

Sources close to the Crabtree family said the wide receiver wants to get on the field and is willing to compromise in talks with the 49ers. The Raiders signed Heyward-Bey to a five-year, $38.5 million deal with $23.5 million guaranteed and Parker wants something close to that but sources said the 49ers are not budging on their contract offer, though. Wells, who was quoted in an ESPN report saying his cousin would sit out the year, has backed off that statement now. "As a player you come in and you want to contribute," said Singletary, who added Crabtree is behind in his development. "That's the thing he wanted to do, and it frustrated him that he couldn't do it. It wasn't something that he articulated to me, it's just something you know about a player, so naturally you don't feel apart. Then, you got to negotiate your contract. So, all those things take care of themselves in time."

Who cares? He'll likely be a non-factor this season, anyway...

What if his first play from scrimmage is a 80 yard TD?

This is sad, lol. Crabtree misses all of training camp his rookie year. Now he's willing to compromise? Give me a damn break.

He could probably still have a decent season.

He's going to be a problem in the locker room at this point. SF has all the negotiating power now. In other words he's S.O.L. at this point.

Well, I hope in the end after all this dramatic, stupid, arrogant, bullcrap, that he becomes a great player on the team. I can hope.

I just wonder what the point is, if he is going to accept the original offer, why not sign it in the first place ?
