Roy Williams should be just fine for the Sept. 13 season opener at Tampa Bay. That much can be drawn from the postgame remarks made by Wade Phillips Saturday night after the Dallas Cowboys outplayed San Francisco's starters in dropping a 20-13 preseason game at Dallas Cowboys Stadium, home of the world's largest HD video board. Phillips said afterward that had it been a regular-season game, Williams likely could have played two days after the collision heard round the NFL, his run-in with cornerback Orlando Scandrick on a slant route Thursday night in practice. "Roy said he was OK," Phillips said. "I don't know for sure, but I think he probably could have played." Source: National Football Post
