Raiders linebacker Greg Ellis had some harsh words for his teammates following Saturday's blowout against the Saints. "Guys, you can't stay out all night, can't expect to come in here and just turn it on," Ellis said after the game. "This isn't high school or college football. This is the best of the best in the NFL. So you've got to do those small things that you maybe didn't have to do in college." The Raiders' first-team defense played through the third quarter and was responsible for most of the 536 total yards surrendered, including a galling 232 yards on the ground. Source: Sacramento Bee
Im glad to hear to this. Hes been around for a number of years now someone should talk some crap to this young guys. Im sure ellis didnt sign over here to lose the way we didi yesterday.
i disagree i like that he is calling these guys out ot be responsible. he is a vetern that has been on better teams then this maybe he can add his leadership and turn the defense around some
my poitn is that a veteran on the team should be saying this, not a new guy on the roster but you're right, if he wants to step up and be leader, then good for him
Not many guys have stayed in Oakland for long.... Honestly, I'm glad he's getting vocal about it. It was starting to feel as if they're content with losing.
