Former Cowboys receiver and new NFL Network analyst Michael Irvin tells USA Today that he sees a quarterback controversy potentially brewing with the Eagles and that he said it could happen much sooner than expected, projecting that Vick's suspension will not last until its maximum in Week 6. "I'm not sure you're going to have to wait that long," Irvin said. Irvin wonders whether McNabb actually lobbied the Eagles to bring in Vick. "I had to question that," Irvin said. "Did McNabb go to (the team) about Vick, or did they come to him." He also said Vick should not have said after Thursday's game that returning to his role as a quarterback was like riding a bike, suggesting it was easy. "Does (NFL Commissioner) Roger Goodell want you to be the star of the league early? I don't think so. … Somebody should have gotten to Vick and said, 'Let's be humble.' NFL Network does....they pay him to give his opinions now. Should be fun between him and Warren Sapp on NFL Network. Those two don't hold back. Yes they can be huge asses, but they don't hold back.

If McNabb plays like a Pro Bowl quarterback like he has before, there won't be any controversy. If he starts to tank, then there will be. The QB job should be up for grabs like every other position. I don't see Vick or anyone else really challenging him, but you never know.
I remember watching him talking about a game that will be aired on NFL Network during the pre season. The commentators were trying to make him STFU because he was talking crap on how none of the starters would be playing so there's no reason to watch it. They kept telling him it's gonna be aired on NFL Network and people should watch, he kept saying they shouldn't... :icon_lol:
I don't understand why Irvin's opinion is news, let alone a top story. He says a lot of outrageous stuff. If he had a track record of accuracy like a Jay Glazer then his opinion might mean something.
I predict irvin will be caught with drugs and hookers, oh wait, im too late on that one. I predict he'll dress like a clown speak like an uneducated moron, too late on that one too. I don't understand why people still listen to this drugged out loser. I find it hilarious, almost everything this butt ever said on nfl gameday never came true, him saying this actually should make Eagles fans who thought there was any chance of a controversy feel better.
I am not sure of why this is either. I understand he works for NFL Network but there are other that work that there and what they say does not make news.
Add him to the list of morons who know nothing of the situation yet have piped up about this who's opinions mean absolutely nothing to me. Only difference is he doesn't post on GIF :icon_cheesygrin:
