In his mind, Green Bay linebacker Nick Barnett sees himself on the field for every defensive snap when the season kicks off against the Chicago Bears Sept. 13. The reality, however, might be a little different. According to the Packers' coaches, it is still up in the air whether he'll start because they want to see how well he performs in the team's final exhibition game before making a final decision. "I think you have to go through and see how he does during the preseason," Packers defensive coordinator Dom Capers said. "He's done every step, coming back; he's stayed right on schedule with what was anticipated. But you want to be able to see a guy go out and compete under game conditions, see how everything goes."

It's unlikely, as good as Bishop and Chillar have been in the pre-season, Barnett will more than likely start come week 1

i think his experience and leadership will keep him on the team and add some depth but i feel like he prob lost a step and is headed to the pup list for six weeks....
