The 49ers have released quarterback Damon Huard, a 12-year veteran. Huard was picked up in the offseason to be a steady hand if the 49ers ever needed to go to their third quarterback. Huard, however, was beaten out by promising rookie Nate Davis for the role. Source: The Sacramento Bee
I'm kinda excited about what Nate Davis can do. I'm thinking he'll be the starter before the end of the year
he can manage a game if Brady gets dinged up. He's a vet who would be handing the ball off and throwing the ball up to Moss and underneath to Welker. He'd be a good fit.
