New Orleans Saints tight end Billy Miller's worst fears came to pass; He has torn his right Achilles tendon and will undergo season-ending surgery Monday. Miller, who sustained the injury during the second quarter of Thursday night's 10-7 exhibition loss to the Miami Dolphins at the Superdome, said an MRI confirmed the extent of the injury. Saints GM Mickey Loomis said it is possible that the team will seek another tight end for the 53-man roster over the weekend. Source: Brian Allee-Walsh, nola.com
It's his achilles tendon; not knee. What's the difference though? He is out for the season. The only non-scrub TE the Saints have left is Shockey, and he has not exactly been "Mr. Indestructible". :icon_eek:
You know a lot about the Saints 86WARD. Do you follow the Saints any, or do you know this much about all NFL teams? izzy::word11:
