TAMPA, Fla. - When the Texans close the preseason tonight against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, quarterback Rex Grossman is going to play at least a half in an attempt to convince coach Gary Kubiak to keep him on the roster when cuts are made to 53 on Saturday. When they signed Grossman to a one-year contract for the $620,000 minimum, the Texans were hoping he would solidify the third position behind Schaub and Dan Orlovsky. Kubiak has wanted to keep three veteran quarterbacks the last two seasons.

Wow. He's really gone low now. From a QB playing in the Super Bowl to questionable about making it onto a 53 man roster. Sheesh.
