ProFootballTalk.com is reporting that the Saints may have committed tampering in their signing of former Missouri quarterback Chase Daniel. Daniel was required to clear through waivers before teams were allowed to contact him regarding a contract, but NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reported that Daniel was signing with the Saints nearly 30 minutes before the notice was released by the league.

I am surprised the Redskins even put Daniels on Waivers. I watched a Redskins Pre-Season game and he out performed all the QB's. The Redskins fans were calling for him at one point to be the back-up to Campbell.

Daniels could turn out to be a quality backup for Drew Brees. With the knowledge he can soak up from him, he could be a good starter somewhere in the future

i really hope so because we need to start grooming a young QB

New Orleans Saints' new practice squad quarterback, Chase Daniel, hopes to model himself after Drew Brees

I hope he does well too.

I'd like to see him succeed in the NFL.

The funny part of the whole thing is that the Redskins will not get punished for signing Haynesworth while the Saints might.
