The Eagles want to sign quarterback Jeff Garcia, but before they can add him to the active roster they need to shrink the complement of players by one. The Eagles are reportedly planning on trading wide receiver Hank Baskett. Baskett, an undrafted free agent in 2006, signed with the Vikings, who then traded him to Philly for receiver Billy McMullen. Wont get much i remember we traded billy mcmullen for him atleast we got a good couple years from him.
The Eagles have to cut someone, why would they trade for him, do they think there is that many teams clamoring for him on the open market
What is Baskett worth anyway. What am I saying? Supposedly the Chiefs have the worst offense in the league right?
If any team is even marginally interested in him, they'll wait until the Eagles release him instead of parting with a valuable 7th rounder for him since they won't be able to keep all the WRs on the roster for long.
the only way they could trade him is if they can prove to another team that other teams are interested. If the Eagles can show Team A, that Team B and C want him too, then Team A might want to trade for him if they think that they can't make a better offer to sign him.
I would say a conditional 7th that could turn into a 5th depending on production/playing time ect. ect.
