Now that wide receiver Hank Baskett has been placed on waivers by the Philadelphia Eagles, he's liable to draw heavy interest on waivers. Before he was let go by Philadelphia, several teams contacted the Eagles about prospective trades for Baskett. That included the Tennessee Titans, Chicago Bears, St. Louis Rams, Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns,Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Kansas City Chiefs, according to a league source.

That's kind of what I was thinking so I looked up his stats and over the past 3 years, he has 72 catches for a little over a 1000 yards.

If used right, somebody will get some quality catches out of him. He will never be above an average receiver in this league though. One trick pony.

i was somewhat surprised no one drafted baskett out of college. he was a pretty good college player at new mexico. i thought the eagles got a steal when they got him and sent mcmullen to the vikings. he showed great flashes of talent, but it always seemed he was just good for height. wasn't that fast, routes were so-so, etc.

eh, baskett will find a home somewhere. he's not going to set the world on fire but he should be able to find a roster spot somewhere.

I was very high on him coming out of new mexico, and was ecstatic when we traded for him, he never evolved into anything but the one trick pony that he was. He'll be that one trick for someone somewhere
