JaMarcus Russell led the Raiders on a game-winning drive in the fourth quarter on Sunday, but the quarterback struggled mightily for a majority of the game. Russell went 4-for-7 with 67 yards on the game's pivotal possession, but was just 3-for-21 with 42 yards prior. "I really didn't," Oakland coach Tom Cable told the Contra Costa Times, when asked if he contemplated turning to backup Bruce Gradkowski. "It did not cross my mind."

He reminded me a lot of Quincy Carter back in 01 and 02. And I didn't want to remember that.

will never happen al will fire the whole coaching staff before that happens. and if thats the case russell needs to start throwing at tires or whatever but he needs to turn it around now. no more freaking excuses.

Thats why hackett is there hes not doing his job. Maybe kurt warner can make a how to video for J-rock. 24-26 is impressive.

coach? tell me how you 'coach' a guy who's played in 20 nfl games and thrown 500 passes to become more accurate? his mechanics are fine. he seems to read coverages fine. he's got a strong arm. he's tough to sack. he appears cool in the pocket. there's nothing else to coach here. the guy is just not consistently accurate. it's his weakness.
