The Oakland Raiders have backed off a demand made to CBS that quarterback-turned-announcer Rich Gannon be banned from the team's facility for production meetings before Sunday's broadcast. The Raiders initially told the network that Gannon was not welcome at production meetings for Sunday's game against Denver because of constant criticism of the organization in recent years. Senior executive John Herrera said later Friday that "because of league rules, we have relented." Source: Sports Illustrated
Al should make a statue for Gannon considering they haven't been relevant since he took them to the Super Bowl.
In that Case the statue should be of Jon Gruden since he is the one who came up with the offensive strategy for gannon to thrive in. What did he do before that nothing he was a career back up. Thanx for the memories rich but it seems your the exception to the rule once a raider always a raider.
Al isn't going to build a statue for anyone but himself. Noone is bigger than him Such rules are things from the past.
lol @ thanx for the memories??? Rich Gannon was the man in Oaktown and because he's critical of the Raiders, they wanted him banned???? what a crock of crap, obviously THEY CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH....Doesn't matter how good a coach and his plan is if he doesn't have the QB that can run the offense it won't be successful.
Banning him, with how inaccurate their current qb is they should be asking him if he fancies a game.
How did you feel about the numbnuts who told the media about singletary dropping his pants. Its the same crap here, Gannon has not lied but he is airing out the dirty laundry of what goes on behind the scenes and thats not right either lets just say he is contributing to the mockery of the Raiders. Ammunition for the masses. Yeah for 3 years Gannon was the man but it was thanx to Gruden's west coast offense.
I don't care, about the media talking about Singletary dropping his pants it's hardly the same thing as banning Gannon because he spoke the truth about the Raiders. Again, that's like saying that no matter who was on the team it was only Gruden that made them win, ridiculous.
