Adam Schefter of ESPN reports for now, Washington Redskins head coach Jim Zorn appears to be safe. Even with the vultures circling, the Redskins are not expected to make any moves with Zorn, a team source said Sunday night, hours after Washington suffered a historic loss to the Detroit Lions. To make a move with Zorn now would present more complications than it is worth because losing him at this point would be too much for the team to overcome, the Redskins believe.

This will probably be the rallying cry for this team. However, being a Cowboy fan in the DC area, tomorrow should be fun (before Dallas loses).

I do think Zorn's play calling has been horrible (well with horrible point totals). Clinton Portis has not shown enough burst imo for him to be getting as many critical runs as he is. The Skins need a speed back to compliment him so Portis can be a power guy.

Little Danny Snyder is not a patient owner he wants results on the field inmmediately with all the money he spent. Danny Snyder knows Mike Shanahan is looming and won't hesitate to fire Zorn.

They need to fire him and take Campbell with him. Zorn reminds me of the Marty S. coaching days, just horrible play calling. Campbell will never be anything more then a avg QB.

I just hope the Redskins approach to a new Coach doesnt turn out like it did for the lions, with going through a new coach almost every season........ went through like 4. I do hope the Redskins can manage to get things together......

it's been 17 hours since the game ended .................. zorn STILL isn't fired?

i continue to be amazed at Snyder's maturity in this situation .............. he's really growing up.

I honestly think the Redskins will have to go 10-6 for Zorn to save his job.

Maybe if they lost to the Rams last week then the Lions this week. LOL

Snyder won't fire Zorn this early into the season. Fans are pissed though. They want Snyder gone as much as Zorn if not moreso from what I've seen and heard around here.
