It's everyone's favorite time of the year: NFL Pro Bowl selections. The game is a little different this year. Instead of the usual conference battle (AFC vs. NFC), players will be assigned to teams via a Pro Bowl Draft. Last year, the Eagles did not have a single player who made the NFL Pro Bowl. The Eagles finished 4-12 and it was just an all around bad year.

This year, two Eagles players have made the Pro Bowl roster : LeSean McCoy and... Jason Peters.

McCoy has been having a career year and he's the league's rushing leader with He's on pace to break records and he's just been a big part of the Eagles' success on offense. One record that McCoy has already broken was the Eagles' single game rushing record. McCoy put up 217 yards in Week 14 performance that topped previous record holder Steve Van Buren's mark of 205 yards. The Pro Football Hall of Fame requested McCoy's game gear due to that performance. McCoy is highly decorated this year, having earned 3 FedEx Ground Player Awards and 1 NFC Offensive Player of the Week Award. Add a Pro Bowl honor to the list.

Jason Peters is somewhat of a surprise. Peters is having a nice comeback year after missing all of 2012 with a torn achilles. He is Pro Football Focus's 5th ranked offensive tackle in the league.

Eagles players who did not make the roster and could be viewed as snubs include: QB Nick Foles, WR DeSean Jackson, OG Evan Mathis, and P Donnie Jones. Foles has thrown for 25 TDs to only 2 INTs and leads the league in passer rating. DeSean Jackson, who is also having a career year, has the 8th most yards in the league. Evan Mathis has been having a stellar season as always. Donnie Jones has downed the fourth most amount of punts inside the 20 out of all punters.

Of course, the goal for Eagles fans is to see none of these players having to actually play in the Pro Bowl because they'll be getting ready for another game: The Super Bowl.

How do you feel about these selections?
