If the Chargers had any fans, they'd be very upset right now. They did everything right, and still lost to the Chiefs. At least Herbert vs Mahomes has potential to be next decade's Brady vs. Manning. Tomorrow the Browns play the Raiders but half their roster has covid and Baker Mayfield went to twitter to call out the NFL on their BS (always a bad idea) so it will be interesting to see wha happens. And for sunday, a great antidote to an offense that has stalled lately: We get to play the Giants. Perfect opportunity for Dak and the guys to get back in rythm. A 40-burger is in play here.
The Eagles-WFT has been moved to Tuesday night. What a bunch of BS! Eagles get penalized because Washington has players out with Covid started from one of their unvaxxed players. Washington should have been forced to play with a short roster. Now the Eagles will only have 5 days to get ready to play next Sunday while fighting for their playoff lives. This blows.
If 90% of players are actually vaccinated and most positive tests are asymptomatic, F it...let them play. Isn't that what vaccines are for?
Looks like the NFL heard me. New protocols were announced. Vaxed players won't be tested unless they show symptoms, unvaxed players will still be tested daily. Since vaxed players can still spread the virus and never get sick, I'd expect a bunch of unvaxed players testing positive moving forward.
Of course a ton of Washington players were moved out of Covid protocol yesterday. The game could have been played today. The decision to move it really angers me. Football on a Tuesday is awful. It also brings up the awful memory of Joe Webb leading the Vikings to an upset win in Philly back in 2010 on a Tuesday night. The early games suck today. Another reason I hate the decision to move the Eagles game. I guess I'll flip between the Cowboys destroying the Giants and Red Zone.
I know it was just Glennon and he is awful...but it's weird that the Cowboys have become more of a defensive team than offensive this second half of the year. I'm not sure if that pick-6 from last week was still in his head but it seemed to me that Dak went to his check down faster than he needed to at times. Good teams beat bad teams though. That's what happened. It didn't happen in Detroit though. Wow. I certainly didn't see that coming.
Dak has been off since the calf injury that made him miss the Vikings game. He has not been the same since. At least now we have a defense that can bail us out when the offense is off but I can't help but wonder if that will be enough in the playoffs. The offense has 3 games to find their rhythm back but with the division 99% secured now I wonder if McCarthy will start resting starters. We have a huge game in Arizona in two weeks that could very well be with the #1 seed on the line.
Holy shite...Eagles OL Landon Dickerson is now in Covid protocols...shortly after today's game would have ended. Now it's possible that the Eagles entire OL could be in protocol and forced to forfeit Tuesday's game in which they got screwed by the commissioner. This is in zero way fair.
Cowboys twitter is in total meltdown mode. I had to check again: Cowboys have won 3 in a row on the road by a combined 32 points. I don't understand why they're freaking out. Look at Arizona, look at Tampa. Everybody has bad games, the Cowboys too but they find ways to keep winning. I thought they only cared about wins... Cowboys fans: "We only care about wins!!!" (((Cowboys win ugly 3 times in december.))) Cowboys fans: "OMG this team sucks!!!" I really hate this fanbase...
After a weird shaky start the Eagles were dominant last night. I love this running game so much. If Sirianni would have run the ball earlier in the season they would be in the driver's seat for a playoff spot instead of being on the outside looking in. This was the easier part of the 2 games in 6 days. While the Giants aren't good they beat the Eagles a few weeks ago and will be rested. It didn't seem like the Eagles had many injuries last night but we'll see in the next couple of days how they are physically.
It's so weird to have football on tuesdays. I totally forgot yesterday. There's still a 1% chance of the Eagles beating us for the division. Normally I'd totally expect it to happen, but this year feels different...
