The board is back up and running! The 49ers destroyed the Seahawks last night. That sucked. This weekend I'll be watching: Browns at Eagles - We should be almost fully healthy. Thank God that AJ Brown is coming back. We should be able to put up points again as DaVonta Smith should play as well. If Hurts struggles again, this team is in serious trouble. Commanders at Ravens - I'll have this game on my other tv. I normally can't stand the Ravens, but I'll be rooting them on big time Sunday. Lions at Cowboys - Huge NFC game to show how real the Lions are. Winning in Dallas is not easy. I won't be completely happy no matter who wins. I just hope both teams look sloppy and beatable.
Storm's not fun. Here's my picks for this week. 2024 Week Six College and NFL Pick ‘Em, with Fox Sports’ Lisa Horne - Sports Chump
I am glad the Cowboys were demolished at home again. I am glad Dan Campbell is still mad about last year and ran up the score with trick plays. I am glad the defense fell apart the moment its 3 best players went down with injuries. We were saying all offseason long...there is no depth. All 4 starting defensive linemen are injured, and even with the starters they couldn't stop the run. What did they expect would happen? And I just read that Jerry threatened to fire the radio show hosts for asking him the questions that need to be asked. This is the biggest I TOLD YOU SO moment in Cowboys critics (but still fans) history. Yeah..."all in".
I just listened to some of the audio. Jerry had a meltdown live on the radio. That excuse of "sure, this is bad, but look at all the things I got right" is the one that got me divorced almost a decade ago (it's ok, I can laugh about it now).
Technically, Sunday was a good day for the Eagles as they won, and the rest of the division lost. But barely beating the Browns at home, coming off of the bye, it certainly didn’t feel like a good day.
I've got to give some love to our head coach Todd Bowles who is far from getting the credit he deserves: In defense of Todd Bowles - Sports Chump
Devante Adams traded to the Jets. Amari Cooper traded to the Bills. Jerry wonders out loud where could he possibly get good players at this point. I give up.
UPDATE Two years ago the Browns traded a 5th round pick to the Cowboys for Amari Cooper. Today they traded him to the Bills for a 3rd round pick. I have no idea how these people become billionaires in the first place. If the Cowboys are worth 10 billion dollars with Jerry at the helm, how much would they be worth with a real business person?
Later yesterday Jerry had a chance to back track, calm down and even apologize but you'll never guess what he did: Yup. He doubled down. He won't pay people to question him. What a bad leader this guy is. Geez.
