So tonight I mean, tomorrow night we have Vikings vs. Rams who apparently have been on talks regarding a possible trade for Matt Stafford. Sam Darnold can't catch a break, I guess. He has been amazing this year, I don't really get it. On Sunday the Cowboys start a brutal stretch of the season...or continue, if we consider the lions game as the actual start: 49ers, Falcons, Eagles, Commanders and Texans in the next weeks. I honestly don't see us winning any of those games...maybe the Eagles one, but that's it. The 49ers are pissed...but also injured. It would be super ironic if we managed to beat them this time. No holding my breath, though...
What I'll be watching this weekend: Eagles at Bengals - I honestly do not know what to expect in this game. The Eagles historically cannot defeat Cincy. The Bengals haven't beaten any teams with a winning record but they batled the Ravens tooth and nail. They also are playing much better now. I would feel better about the Eagles chances if I thought they were more committed to the run game like last week, but they always go pass happy after a rushing performance like that. If they Eagles manage a solid win then I will feel much better about them than I have most of this season. Cards at Dolphins - I will have this on my other tv as my Dolphins fan buddy should be over. Looks like Tua may play which will make the Fins semi-interesting again. Maybe he can get Tyreek going again. Bears at Commanders - I hope Jayden Daniels plays in this matchup against Caleb Williams. I'll obviously be rooting for Da Bears. I'll probably have Red Zone on my other tv.
When the Vikings raced out to the 10-0 lead over the Lions last Sunday, I thought maybe they are the best team in the NFC. How quickly things change in 5 days though.
That was a brutal non-call by the refs. Sure, maybe the Vikings don't come back, but you just can't miss that. The ref was literally 2 feet away and claims he "didn't have a good look". Expect penalties to be reviewable after the 2 minute warning next year.
Right under the wire, gentlemen, my picks for Week 8. 2024 Week Eight College and NFL Pick ‘Em: KP’s Wife’s Winners? - Sports Chump TJ, I have you down for picking games for my site for Week Ten... so be ready to represent!
Big time win by the Eagles. They are starting to look like their old selves again. 3 games in a row that Hurts has not turned the ball over. These rookies on the secondary, Quinyon Mitchell & Cooper Dejean have added toughness and ability. Winston defeating the Ravens is awesome.
yea, insane toss by Jayden Daniels. Kid's got ROY all wrapped up. Nice win by Philly. I thought the Bengals would be able to handle their business but they, along with Dallas, Jacksonville and the Jets are just bad football teams.
The Cowboys have quit and it's not even Halloween yet. That's what a lame duck coach does to you. They're still the talk of the week in every show so Jerry is fine with it.
Hey, Teej, I sent you a message on Twitter. Any way you can do picks for my site this week? The guy I had slated for this week can't pull it off. Lemme know.
Sure!! Just let me know where and by when. I believe last time I did it all in the wrong place and at the wrong time lol
I have watched football for 30+ years. I had never seen a QB tap himself out of a game, meaning, asking to be replaced because he's tired. Any other position? Sure...it happens, and it's normal. But QB? Man...that was so weird. Anyway...Colts are sending Anthony Richardson to the bench this week. He can get plenty of rest there. Joe "I am Elite" Flacco will start.
Perfect. I appreciate it. Yea, just send em here or post on the forum as ya' always do. Five games in order of confidence, either college or pro, against the spread. You can also include over/unders if ya like. Thanks, man.
Final thoughts on that Bears-Commanders thriller... Karma Strikes: Tyrique Stevenson and the Gaffe Heard ‘Round the Capitol - Sports Chump
Here we go, @SportsChump . Lines taken from Caliente sports here in Mexico...who just copy them from several books in Vegas, as far as I know: 5 Texans (+2) over Jets. Like...why are the Texans underdogs? 4 Falcons (-2) over Cowboys. I'm a Cowboys fan who has quit on the season. 3 Bills (-6) over Dolphins. I'm surprised this line is under 10. 2 Commanders (-3-5) over Giants. I'm surprised this line is under 20. 1 Buccanneers (+9) over Chiefs. I expect the Chiefs to remain undefeated. It will be close, though.
Beautiful, thank ya, sir. If there's anything else you'd like me to tag in the post, i.e., the Knuckleheads forum or your Twitter page, lemme know.
