We're already in the middle point of a season that can't end fast enough. We have Texans vs. Jets tonight and I can't understand how the Texans are 2 point underdogs in this one. Vegas still afraid of Rodgers, I guess. The Cowboys play at Atlanta and are getting some key defenders back, with Bland and Micah probably finally suiting up for a game. They should make it closer but I don't expect this team to win many more games. The offense is just...boring!! And very predictable, I'm sure. The Lions plan a couple weeks ago was take out Lamb because they knew nobody else would step up and they were right.
What I'll be watching: Commanders at Giants - I'm still upset at that Hail Mary Washington pulled off last week against the Bears. Giants are awful but I'll hope for their own miracle. Dolphins at Bills - This will be on my other tv with my buddy coming over. I'll probably have Cowboys-Falcons on my pc as well. Jaguars at Eagles - I will always love Doug Pederson for winning us our only SB. His job is in serious trouble and he's bringing a banged up team into Philly. With his team knowing that they are playing for his job, it might give the Jags extra motivation. Also, the Eagles are 1-4 in weeks before they play the Cowboys. Not so sure they are looking ahead this year though. Hopefully we keep increasing Jalen's snaps under center. He has been great at it so far this season. It's about time they started doing it. Lions at Packers - I'll have this on my other tv. I'd like to see the Pack take them down. Lions are looking too good right now.
Look who we got to pick games this week, boys and girls. 2024 Week Nine College and NFL Pick ‘Em: TJ’s Tantalizers - Sports Chump
Ezekiel Elliott is inactive today for "disciplinary reasons". I'm sure we'll miss his 10 carries for 25 yards per game. What a dumpster fire this team has become.
Dallas should still be able to score. I have a prop on Rico Dowdle any time TDs and multiple TDs. Atlanta's red zone defense is horrible.
Sirianni’s awful decisions made the game way closer than it had to be, but the Eagles were a lot more dominant than the final score. The offense has been getting better and better as they adjust to Kellen Moore’s style. Same with the defense, but they have not exactly been going against juggernauts lately. Saquon Barkley’s backwards hurdle was ridiculous. Davante Smith also had an amazing one-handed grab in the back of the end zone. This team is fun again. Both Lamb and Prescott hurt for Dallas. I hope they will be OK for next week against the Eagles hopefully AJ Brown will be available as well. another victory for Washington, but they have not been as impressive lately. Hopefully it’s a sign that they’re coming back down to earth. The Lions continue to look like the best team in football.
Rico got his TD in hilarious fashion. This is a top heavy team, with not much depth behind the starters. During the summer I was thinking if Micah, Dak, CD, the corners, the DL, the OL...if more than one go down, we're screwed. Well, they're all down now. And it's not like they were lights out when everybodhy was healthy either. This is what a lame duck head coach does to you. Everybody knows McCarthy is gone no matter what (well, unless he wins the super bowl, I guess, but I wouldn't guarantee it either), some of them have their long contracts in place, others are in their rooke deals and the rest are free agents. Why would they listen to him? I think about it every time I see Trevon Diggs do a "business decision" and refuse to tacke the ball carrier. At least Deion was a true shutdown corner. And next time is the Eagles. We opened as 6.5 underdogs.
The Saints have fired head coach Dennis Allen. How quickly things change. They looked like juggernauts in week 2 after crushing the Cowboys. Turns out the Cowboys are just bad.
Dak Prescott is expected to miss "several weeks" with a hamstring injury. Welp...there's that. Just like 2015 when Romo went down for the season. I can't wait to see how we'll waste a top 5 pick again. Probably a running back again.
That sucks about Dak. Sunday won’t be the same. I saw Rush is 5-1 as a starter though. At least he’s a capable backup.
Coop is a game manager "just don't screw up, we'll take care of the rest" kind of QB. He's gone 5-1 as a starter with a loaded team that made up for his shortcomings. Wit this team, though...I don't think he'll be as successful. Maybe we should take a look at Trey Lance, but that would be like flying the white flag on the season and I don't think Jerry and the coaching staff are ready to admit the season is over. LMAO. Sorry for the typos. I turn autocorrect off when I write in English XD
It's trade deadline day. The only big news happening today. Nothing else, nothing more important today than the trade deadline. Let us begin: The Panthers are sending Jonathan Mingo and a 2025 seventh-round pick to the Cowboys in exchange for a 2025 fourth-round pick. What an absolute robbery. Take away the phone from Jerry, please. He thinks 4th round picks are 20 dollar bills or something. Someone please save us!!!
