San Francisco 49ers linebacker Aldon Smith seemingly did everything – except dial 9-1-1 – to break up an out-of-control party at his home last year. Instead, Smith allegedly fired a weapon to get everyone to leave before he was eventually stabbed and two party-goers were shot.

According to SFGate.com, Santa Clara County prosecutor Frank Carrubba said Smith believed the party he was hosting with Tennessee Titans tight end Delanie Walker on June 29, 2012 needed to end after somebody displayed a gun at the bartender. Smith allegedly told the more than 100 guests to leave, and as he closed his garage door, someone fired three shots into the back of the garage.

Instead of calling law enforcement, SFGate.com reports Smith took matters into his own hands:

“Smith went to a bedroom, retrieved a .45-caliber handgun and fired a shot into the air, Carrubba said. He reopened the garage door, believing it was safe, but people were still congregating outside.
“Carrubba said that as Smith walked out of the garage, someone uttered a "gang slur," prompting Smith to tell the group, "This is my house. I'm Aldon Smith." But the visitors still did not leave, and some told him that they didn't care who he was, Carrubba said.
“(Steven) Barba then used a knife to stab Smith twice, the prosecutor said.â€￾

In addition, Walker allegedly fired the same weapon into the air. As a result, another person returned fire, and that is when Ronndale Esporlas and Aaron Reyes were struck. Esporlas filed a lawsuit in Santa Clara County accusing both men of repeatedly and illegally firing weapons on numerous occasions during that party, while Reyes is also suing.
