49ers linebacker Aldon Smith, who was arrested at early Friday morning on suspicion of DUI, is suspended “indefinitely†and will not play on Thursday, the team said on Sunday. Jed York, the 49ers CEO, made the announcement after the team’s 27-7 loss on Sunday to the Indianapolis Colts. Smith played on Sunday and recorded five tackles, but he won’t play next week against the St. Louis Rams. According to CSNBayArea’s Matt Maiocco, Smith read a statement apologizing and admitted that he has a “problem.†Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer reported earlier on Sunday that Smith could enter drug rehab “as early as this week.†Source: Sports Illustrated

i like how the 9ers got one more game out of him, if he was in real bad shape dont ya think he would have missed this game too. he sounds so sorry, but one last pay check was what he was thinkinh about
The team is in disarray at the moment. Hopefully, this creates a bond and brings the dog out in everybody to shape up
