Colt McCoy is scheduled to be the second 49ers quarterback to enter today's game, but the team's long-term plans for him are dubious. According to NFL.com, the team has been taking trade calls for the quarterback recently. McCoy has been a disappointment through two preseason games, and the 49ers already hinted strongly that he was on shaky ground when they signed Seneca Wallace, who once served as McCoy's backup, on Thursday. The team has five quarterbacks on the roster, and all five are expected to play against the Vikings this evening, Jim Harbaugh said. The 49ers obtained McCoy in a trade with the Browns this offseason. Source: Sacramento Bee
I was reading PFF's numbers behind the numbers, and was shocked at how badly his were compared to Tolzien's. Tolzien looked like a starter compared to him with all factors considered
Before this season, coming out of Cleveland and having Leftwich and Batch? I would've bitten on a trade for McCoy. Not now though...
yep! theyare bringing john bck in for a tryout tomorrow, and they are in deep crap if they want to sign him!:icon_twisted:
Considering we gave up almost nothing for him and he's sucked, I'd be shocked if we could get anything in return.
I thought he could succeed if given the right opportunity, but I was wrong. If you can't make yourself not look like crap in San Fran, you suck.
I've got a '92 ford Explorer that leaks oil, compressor is out, the armrest is busted and the front right window doesn't work. Trade?
