San Francisco 49ers starting cornerback Walt Harris will miss the entire season as he recovers from right knee surgery. Harris was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, a serious blow for the team three days before training camp opens and heading into Mike Singletary's first full season as coach. Harris, a 13-year pro heading into his fourth year with the 49ers, has been a model of consistency in his lengthy career, never missing more than four games in a season. Source: Associated Press
