The 49ers lined up on Monday night without running back Brandon Jacobs but it wasn't because he was hurt. Jacobs was a healthy scratch against the Cardinals, declaring earlier in the week that he was healthy. "I'm ready whenever coach calls my name," Jacobs said last week. "I can't do anything about what's going on, but I can work hard and show coach that I'm ready, that I'm healthy." What makes the scratch somewhat surprising is that Frank Gore was banged up entering the game.

i dont see anything wrong with what he said. the thing is kendall hunter is real good and will replace gore when he is done. still got alot of games left and having jacobs around playoff time can only help this power running. the niners have very good runners.

i didn't see anything wrong with what he said either. i was referring to his time with the giants when they started scratching him too even though he was healthy because he wasn't getting along with anyone.

although you may be right....... they may be saving his legs for the playoffs.

We never scratched Brandon, only time he missed was when he was banged up. Hes a helluva competitor and I think he will serve the niners good come playoff time. He's nowhere near the runner he used to be but still can get things rolling in a limited role

actually find it to be very wise. save a reliable back until the playoffs then utilize him. its a good problem for the 9ers to have

Supposedly that wasn't related to football. Whatever, he's not good enough to crack the roster whats the big deal. He's a one dimensional pounder that doesnt play ST.
