The San Francisco 49ers have agreed to terms on a one-year deal with inside linebacker Tavares Gooden, Aaron Wilson of Scout.com reports. Financial terms were not disclosed. A 2008 third-round pick out of Miami by the Baltimore Ravens, Gooden has 70 tackles in 26 games over the last three seasons, including 13 on special teams. The Ravens placed a $1.2 million, "original round" restricted free agent tender on Gooden this offseason. With Jameel McClain earning a starting role next to Ray Lewis, and Dannell Ellerbe deserving of playing time, the Ravens attempted to trade Gooden on Saturday before placing him on waivers, where Gooden's contract went unclaimed.
