The 49ers defeated the Falcons 34-24, and had some changes in the roster. We break down the Week 16 snap count. The San Francisco 49ers defeated the Atlanta Falcons 34-24 on Monday Night Football, and we saw some changes in the snap count due to injuries. Will Tukuafu and Quinton Patton each saw the biggest boost in snaps. I suppose considering they were not on the roster and inactive, respectively, the week before, this is not a shocking statement. Tukuafu ended up with 12 offensive snaps. Early in the game, it appeared he was going to get all the fullback work. However, by the end of the game, Anthony Dixon had played 11 offensive snaps. I want to go back and check out the fullback formations, but the team seems content to mix and match the two of them. Patton replaced Mario Manningham on the game-day roster as Manningham has been dealing with an illness and his knee issue. Patton finished the game with 18 snaps, which just about fills in the work Manningham handled recently. Patton was not targeted in his time on the field. Other than that, there wasn't a whole lot of other things going on. Vernon Davis finished the game with 51 of a possible 57 snaps. He left the game at one point with an eye issue. He said afterward it did not affect him later in the game, but something seemed a little funky with VD's performance. I think the eye was an issue, but who knows for sure.
