The 49ers on Monday waived veteran Nnamdi Asomugha, who lost his role as the No. 3 cornerback to Tramaine Brock after three games, a league source said. Asomugha, 32, who signed a one-year, $1.35 million contract in April, won a roster spot with the 49ers to open the season. He still can make plays on a team with a need at that position
My only criticism is we kept him instead of Marcus Cooper, who has been killing it with the Chiefs this year. But at that time, no one really knew that Brock was going to step up as well as he has this year.
I'd be ok with the patriots giving him a shot. He's the kind if player they aren't afraid to sign, too
