Aside from the Broncos' season-opening 49-27 beatdown of the Ravens, we've been subjected to some pretty dreadful performances on the NFL's Thursday night football games. But the bigger issue, at least for 49ers wide receiver Anquan Boldin, is that the short turnaround could mean players are more susceptible to injuries. Source: CBSSports.com markaz's Take: Potential for injury has to be greater for players on a 96 hour turnaround. That aside, the quality of the product on Thursdays is abysmal for whatever the reason(s) may be. Do away with Thursday games, Mr. Goodell.
I do like being able to have football games on so many days out of the week, but Boldin is right about recovery time. When I played, could barely move the next day and that was just high school ball. Can't imagine what these guys feel like with the collisions they take at the pro level. Also, can't imagine where the team would be right now if we were dependent on Randy Moss as our #1 to this point in the season .. yikes
