It appears as if Isaac Bruce has not only been bumped out of the starting lineup, but he might also be knocked another spots on the depth chart with the emergence of Jason Hill. "We'll see. I know he's not starting," 49ers coach Mike Singletary said of Bruce. "Whether he's No. 3, No. 4 or No. 5, I don't know right now. It just depends on the package." Bruce has struggled this season with just 20 receptions for 244 yards and no touchdowns. When Hill replaced him at the end of the first half of the 49ers-Titans game Nov. 8, Hill caught two touchdown passes in his first extended playing time of the season.

Obviously I can't speak for Isaac Bruce but you'd think that having had the career he's had that if he wasn't playing at a high level anymore he'd just cash it in and go get a chair next to Keyshawn - heck maybe he can even teach Key a thing or two about not being a total happy while he's at it? Just sayin...

This will be his last year, didn't he ponder retirement at the end of the 08 season?

Yea, in fact he was basically retired until about a week before training camp, if I remember right. Bruce has had a very good career and is a class act, a well deserved retirement.
