49ers QB Alex Smith just missed hooking up with WR Ted Ginn on what would've been a sweet 45-yard bomb during the team's Friday offseason practice. Ginn had two steps on rookie safety Taylor Mays but dropped the pbutt. He attempted to atone for the drop late in the practice when he had a deep lob from QB Nate Davis head his way, but he dropped it. Coach Mike Singletary let Ginn hear about it -- something Ginn might be sick of after not catching more than his fair share of long passes over his career. Source: CBS Sports
