The San Francisco 49ers have reached agreement on a one-year deal with free agent wide receiver Randy Moss, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Moss, 35, worked out for the 49ers at their facility on Monday. Financial terms were not disclosed. The lack of a field-stretching wide receiver on the 49ers was evident in their NFC Championship Game loss to the New York Giants. Michael Crabtree had the only reception by the team's wide receivers in that game, a three-yard reception late in the fourth quarter, and the team could lose starter Josh Morgan to unrestricted free agency.

So he can quit on the team again? Will he even suit up for the second half of the season?

I think all that is behind him. He realizes how good he had it when he was in new England before. But now we'll never know.

I love this move! One year deal, low risk, hes 35 yes but hof wrs can play well into their 30s.

Moss, Crabtree, a healthy Josh Morgan...might not be a bad trio. Not to mention Davis. Defnitely more than what they had this year...

Wonder what T.O. is feeling about Moss in San Francisco...

Sadly I have to agree. Bad decision I would rather see a younger wr get signed.

Damn I wanted to hear Brees to Moss over and over next year. Oh well. Nice signing. Low risk high reward (potentially)

I dont expect much to come of this but its a nice signing whether it works out or not, like Braylon last year (and I expect about as much from Moss). As others have already said, low risk high reward and definitely fills a role we've been sorely lacking. Id feel better about it if we had a qb that was better at throwing los deep balls, but at the same time hes a qb who has NEVER had a viable deep threat split wide, so who knows.

If he can catch the fade passes edwards couldnt then ill be happy. Redzone offense better improve

Redzone offense would of improved with Morgan. Moss is just going to be a headache. I hope I am wrong

thisi s a good move by the 49ers. if they like what they see after one year sign him to an extension and if you dont like what you see if you let him go your not losing much

this really surprises me. the niners seemed to have such good chemistry with a bunch of guys with motors that wouldn't quit .............. Moss seems like the opposite of their 2011 team.
