It is widely believed that the 49ers won't pay Michael Crabtree a dime more than the Packers gave to defensive lineman B.J. Raji at the ninth overall slot. Meanwhile, ProFootballTalk.com is hearing that his agent, Eugene Parker, is dealing with the Crabtree conundrum on the recruiting trail by blaming the holdout on the player. Parker, we're told, is pointing to the deal he negotiated for defensive end Tyson Jackson at the third overall slot as proof that Parker is willing and able to negotiate a fair deal for a first-round pick. Crabtree is not in it for the love of the game. All he's in it for is the money IMO. Bad news for 49ers fans. I think best case scenario, as of right now, is Crabtree gets into camp and maybe becomes a factor by mid-season, but even that looks bleak at this point.
Not to over speculate, but it seems like when theses knock down drag out fights are pressed on by a player their careers turn out to be a bust more often than not. I don't know if confidence gets affected, or the relationship between the player and te team never fully heals properly, but this isn't good news for niners fans. He isw at least pissing away this season...Crabtree is so far behind....Dumbass fuched himself basically
So the way I see it is, if I'm the agent and my client wont agree to terms on numerous proposals I tell him not to let the door hit him in the butt on his way out. Parker is just trying to save both of his faces by doing this.
Sucks they blew a first round pick on this guy...he sounds perfect for the raiders, now I'm even more shocked they didn't take him.
If he doesn't sign soon I hope his agent talks him into playing in the UFL for a year and he blows out his knee. Complete selfish jackass
IF Crabtree does eventually sign, I hope as soon as he gets onto the field for his first practice, Singletary makes him cry like a little snitch. Then in his first game action, he gets rocked real hard and ends up with a concussion.
As a 49er fan I'm disgusted at Crabtree but come on people, wishing he blows out a knee or gets a concussion is just not cool.

4 how bad this economy has been, and the millions of americans that are still out of work. this guy should be kept up all hours of the night at home. the jobless have nothing better 2 do.
Eugene Parker is a good agent and he understands how the system works. Crabtree is going to leave himself out on a damn island here. Kid is stupid. STFU, get your butt in practice and prove you are worth it. Or sure, sit out the entire year and kiss any future possibility of 1st round pick money goodbye.
