The player rep for Lions running back Jahvid Best confirms offensive coordinator Scott Linehan's statement that the thrice-concussed tailback won't be shut down for the season. "[That's] not what anybody is thinking right now," said the agent. Best isn't going to play against the Falcons. The Lions will likely treat him as "week to week" from there. Meanwhile, Linehan is downplaying the long-term risks. "He's a young player, guys miss some time during the course of the season. I don't have any concerns, I'm sure he'll be out there soon," Linehan said. "He's going to have a long, great career for us." Source: RotoTimes
