With no sign of the NFL’s lockout ending it appears the Miami Dolphins’ players are trying to set up player-only workouts at Nova Southeastern University, the college which houses the Dolphins’ facility according to Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. However, most of the agents have advised their clients to join professional workout camps, and to not participate in any unsupervised football related workouts, specifically 7-on-7 drills, because there’s too much risk involved. Without appropriate supervision, and trainers on site, the Dolphins players would be exposing themselves to a great deal of risk. Drew Rosenhaus, the agent who represents a majority of the Dolphins, told WQAM’s Joe Rose players are trying to organize the workouts, but he’d advise his clients to hold off until after seeing what happens in the April 6 court hearing in Minnesota, which will determine if the NFL has grounds to lockout the now decertified NFLPA.
