Al Davis claims he does not know much about the ongoing investigation by the Napa, Calif., police into the alleged assault of assistant coach Randy Hanson at the club's training camp last month. Addressing Bay Area reporters following the introductory press conference of newly acquired defensive lineman Richard Seymour, Davis said he is not involved in the matter that the National Football Post and numerous other outlets have reported involves head coach Tom Cable. "I don't get involved in those things,'' Davis said. "I don't know much about it. I don't expect anything to happen. I hope nothing happens, let's put it that way. That's what we don't need right now.'' Source: National Football Post
Sure, why would a senile owner of a team know anything that is going on with his employees, dude has too much time allotted for plotting ways to ruin his team's future than to bother himself with trivial matters such as his employees fighting each other.
They really need to roll out the senile crypt keeper more often....who knew Al Davis was a great stand-up comic??? Seriously...this press conference was comedy gold with the crap he was spewing!
you see he actually died several years ago, they just prop him up and move his mouth. It's like the extended..weekend at al davis'.
wes craven actually based the look of freddy kruger on Al, except he made him less scary, he didn't think that people would be able to take the horrific image that is al davis on the big screen.
In other news, Al Davis insists he just talked to Gene Upshaw the other night about his OL coach job.
He insists on being involved in every working of his team yet he really expects the public to believe that he had no idea whatsoever about the attack? Uncle Al thinks America is senile too.
