It's not a particularly deep linebacker class this year, traditionally speaking. But a few prospects should be selected in the first round, led by Alabama's Rolando McClain, a Butkus Award winner for last season's national champions. The 6-foot-3, 254-pound thumper played inside in a 3-4 defense under Nick Saban, and more than half the teams in the NFL are utilizing three-man fronts now, but he feels at home in the middle of a 4-3 scheme, too. "He (Saban) coached in the NFL, he knows what it takes to be great," said McClain, whose medical issue, he was diagnosed with Crohn's disease in high school, hasn't hurt his draft stock. "I think me playing under coach Saban kind of gave me an advantage, especially playing in his 3-4. He's one of the best defensive minds. I learned so much from him." Source: Detroit News
