Alabama RB Mark Ingram Visiting Saints

Mike Triplett of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports Alabama running back Mark Ingram will visit the New Orleans Saints on Wednesday, according to a league source. Ingram is projected to be the top running back taken in this year's NFL Draft - possibly the only back in the first round.

This just seems like a great fit to me.

 

first time they would draft a back in the first round since Deuce. He would be a good replacement for Bush.

 

it is a very good idea. I just can't see him falling so far.

 

you can never tell. I am hoping he gets close enough to us and maybe we move up to get him. He would be a great workhorse back that we need desperately. I love the way Ivory runs but he got hurt. Maybe it will affect him some. Unless he takes a resturctured contract we can't afford Bush for his production. Ingram can do some of the workload right off the bat. Wonder about his ablity to pick up blitzes?

I can't see anyone trading for Bush. Not for the price required to get him. Now trading Bushrod makes more sense. There would be more legit offers for him. :2cents:

 

..Ingram to the Saints? Yeah. I'd LOVE to see this happen. Absolutely heckin' love it. The only problem is, I don't see him falling to 23 in the draft, so unless Saints have plans to trade up, then..who knows?

 

they wanted wells 2 years ago, ingram is even better than wells...seems like a perfect fit to me, and if bush sticks around it will be a good combo
