The Lions received visits from two members of the national champion Alabama football team at their Allen Park complex on Monday, and both figure to be drafted quickly in the first round on April 25. Cornerback Dee Milliner has been linked to the Lions, who hold the No. 5 pick, in many mock drafts, and guard Chance Warmack plays a position of need on the offensive line. Milliner has shoulder surgery on March 12 to repair a torn labrum, but he feels he'll be ready by training camp. He was in Indianapolis last weekend to get checked by the doctors who examined him at February's NFL combine. "They looked at the MRIs and X-rays and it showed everything was cleaned up from surgery and now it's just up to me to rehab and get back," Milliner told detroitlions.com. "It's a long process with the labrum, but they say (by) August I should be back with training camp and preseason and all of that." Warmack is considered the best guard in the draft, but players at his position rarely are drafted with a top-10 pick. "I feel like nowadays guard is becoming more of an important position because you don't want to just strictly pass the football," Warmack said. "Some teams want to run the ball, and to have a good versatile offense, I think the guard and center positions improve your run game the most." Source: Detroit News
